Reimagining the Perinatal Care Ecosystem with the Center for the Transition to Parenthood

Our Challenge

When the team at Columbia University Irving Medical Center needed to define their brand voice, develop clear messaging, and launch the new website for the Center for the Transition to Parenthood, they turned to Purple Haus for expert guidance. We helped them avoid the pitfalls of traditional academic communications and develop more accessible, human-centered  messaging to connect with their national network of parents, practitioners, researchers, and birthing professionals committed to reimagining and resourcing the perinatal care ecosystem.

Our Approach

Purple Haus led a comprehensive discovery process to deeply understand CTtP's mission, values, and goals. We then designed and facilitated interactive strategy workshops, uncovering key insights that would shape the center's communication strategy. Our team crafted clear, engaging language that captured CTtP's unique voice, reimagining how a research institution could communicate about perinatal care. At every step, we focused on crafting language that was not only informative but also accessible, resonant, and respectful with all audiences.

Our Impact

Purple Haus helped CTtP leverage creative intelligence to create new pathways to connection and impact. They are setting a new standard for perinatal care communications in higher education and research institutions. They are set up to communicate with consistency and clarity across all of their external channels. Our collaboration resulted in:

  • A well-defined brand voice that resonates with their target audiences

  • Clear, compelling messaging that effectively communicates their mission

  • Engaging website content that breaks from traditional academic language

Purple Haus brought remarkable clarity to our communications process when we were feeling quite stuck. In a short time, they grasped the essence of our work and helped us articulate how we partner to surround new parents and their babies with a community of care and support. Their talent for leading with humanity has transformed our messaging, making it more accessible and impactful.
